TBEX 2014: Can travel experts save “travel experts”? [VIDEO]

Last year I flew to Athens for three days to do the keynote speech at TBEX 2014. I had a busy busy year, but I made time for it because there are a few things I wanted to say — about how “travel experts” may be a laughable term, but if we want to have jobs as travel writers and leaders, we need to make sure we take it seriously. And that without them, I think, the travel would be slightly diminished.

Something like that.

Anyway, today I stumbled onto this video on YouTube that features a chunk of it. At some point, I hope to be able to get a full version up. Meanwhile I recently wrote for National Geographic Traveler a defense of the travel expert for travelers too.
